Audi RS 6 Avant GT: Limited Edition Performance Luxury Wagon

The Audi RS 6 Avant GT is expected to officially launch in China this March. The vehicle has already been available for pre-sale, though no specific pre-sale price has been announced. The new car is limited to a global production of 660 units.

The Audi RS 6 Avant GT draws inspiration from the legendary Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO, featuring numerous unique details in both its exterior and interior. Its integrated air intake grille and side air intakes are finished in high-gloss black, giving the vehicle a lower and wider appearance. The vertical winglets on the front splitter, newly designed grille mesh, and the front splitter integrated into the bumper add a sharper, more aggressive look to the vehicle.

The RS 6 Avant GT also features a carbon-fiber hood with a unique finish, and integrated air vents behind the front wheel arches to reduce air pressure and improve brake cooling. Like the hood, the front fenders are made entirely of carbon fiber for the first time. Notably, seven skilled professionals take an entire day to complete the final assembly and fine-tuning. All exclusive GT components are hand-assembled, including the engine bay, bumpers, door sills, front and rear skirts, and the adjustable coil spring suspension.

Additional design elements include high-gloss carbon-fiber exterior mirror housings, 22-inch six-spoke wheels, black “RS 6 GT” lettering, dual oval exhaust outlets, and a specially designed tailgate. The large rear spoiler and diffuser further enhance the vehicle's aerodynamic efficiency.

The Audi RS 6 Avant GT is available in five paint colors: Arcona White, Nardo Gray, Sebring Gray Metallic, Ascari Brown Metallic, and Mythos Black Metallic. Two exclusive decal designs are offered: the first, compatible with Arcona White, features racing-inspired black, gray, and red tones with high-gloss white wheels. The second design, in black and gray tones, pairs with Nardo Gray or Mythos Black paint.

The RS 6 Avant GT comes standard with the RS Design Plus package, with black as the base interior color accented by custom red and copper details. These accents are visible on the steering wheel stitching, center console sides, armrests, door handles, and floor mats, which feature "RS 6 GT" lettering.

The same color scheme is applied to the new RS bucket sport seats made of leather and Dinamica microfiber, along with the "RS 6 GT" lettering below the headrests. The honeycomb stitching on the seat centers is finished in bright red, while the outer stitching of the bucket seats is in copper.

The armrests, dashboard, center console, and door waistlines are wrapped in black Dinamica microfiber, with optional carbon-fiber twill trim. A special design detail is the serialized number of the limited 660 vehicles printed on the center console.

In terms of performance, the RS 6 Avant GT is powered by a 4.0 TFSI engine, delivering a maximum output of 463 kW (630 horsepower) and a peak torque of 850 Nm, identical to the specifications of the Audi RS 6 Avant Performance sold in China. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 305 km/h. It also comes standard with RS ceramic brakes. Power is transmitted via an 8-speed Tiptronic gearbox and the quattro all-wheel-drive system.

The Audi RS 6 Avant GT features the same self-locking center differential as the RS 6 Avant Performance, distributing power 40:60 between the front and rear axles. If wheel slippage occurs, more torque is automatically directed to the axle with greater traction, with up to 70% going to the front axle and up to 85% to the rear axle. The improved center differential enhances driving dynamics, significantly increasing cornering precision while reducing understeer in extreme conditions. Customers can also opt for the enhanced RS sport suspension with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC).
