The Song PLUS Intelligent Driving Edition is set to officially launch on February 10th. The new model retains the exterior design of the current version, with the former featuring a trapezoidal, borderless grille, while the latter adopts a closed front grille. Both versions are equipped with a Through type light strip and an illuminated “BYD” logo at the rear.
The new Song PLUS Intelligent Driving Edition is equipped with a triple front camera inside the front windshield, additional cameras on the front fenders and exterior rearview mirrors, and a “Divine Eye” logo at the rear. This indicates that the vehicle will be equipped with the DiPilot 100 “Divine Eye” intelligent driving system.
In terms of interior design, the new Song PLUS DM-i/EV Intelligent Driving Edition largely carries over the current design but features a new four-spoke steering wheel. A smart driving function paddle has been added behind the left multimedia buttons. In terms of configuration, the previously photographed new Song PLUS Intelligent Driving Edition models are equipped with a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel, a 15.6-inch center console screen, and a 50-watt wireless phone charging pad.
The new Song PLUS DM-i Intelligent Driving Edition will continue to use the 1.5-liter plug-in hybrid system from the current model. The 1.5-liter engine has a maximum power of 74 kilowatts and a peak torque of 126 newton-meters, while the drive motor has a maximum power of 160 kilowatts and a peak torque of 260 newton-meters. In terms of battery and range, the 2025 Song PLUS DM-i offers three specifications of phosphate iron lithium blade batteries with capacities of 12.9 kWh, 18.3 kWh, and 26.6 kWh, corresponding to pure electric ranges of 75 kilometers, 112 kilometers, and 160 kilometers under the CLTC test conditions.
The new Song PLUS EV Intelligent Driving Edition is also expected to use the power system of the current model. For reference, the current Song PLUS EV is equipped with a drive motor with a maximum power of 150/160 kilowatts and a peak torque of 310/330 newton-meters, and it adopts a front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout. The vehicle is matched with phosphate iron lithium blade batteries with capacities of 71.8 kWh and 87.04 kWh, and the NEDC-announced comprehensive range is 520 kilometers and 605 kilometers, respectively.
