Chery Fulwin T8: The New Plug-in Hybrid SUV with Up to 130km Electric Range

On February 22, the Chery Fulwin T8 was officially launched. The official recommended retail price ranges from 103,900 to 150,900 yuan, with a limited-time early bird price of 99,900 to 146,900 yuan. The Fulwin T8 offers both five- and seven-seat configurations. Powertrain options include two plug-in hybrid systems combining a 1.5-liter engine/1.5T engine with an electric motor, with the official maximum all-electric range announced as 130 kilometers.

In terms of exterior design, the Fulwin T8 adopts the Chery Fulwin family design language, featuring an octagonal closed grille at the front. The black panel inside the grille is adorned with diamond-shaped matrix elements and the latest Fulwin brand logo. The grille transitions to the side air intakes of the bumper with parallel chrome decoration. The LED headlights above have a simple design and come with automatic headlights, headlight height adjustment, and headlight delay-off functions.

The side profile of the Fulwin T8 is flat, with black side skirts and silver trim added to the lower part of the body. It features a贯穿式tail light group, with the English logo "FULWIN" of Chery Fulwin designed in the middle of the tail lights. The "Fulwin T8 C-DM" logo at the lower left corner of the tailgate indicates its identity. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with hidden door handles, with the fuel filler and charging ports located on the rear fenders of both sides of the vehicle.

The body dimensions of the Fulwin T8 are 4,730 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,745 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,710 mm. Depending on the model, it offers two sizes of rims: 18 inches and 19 inches. The Fulwin T8 will also provide a variety of body color options, including Tea Amber Brown, Cloud Ink Black, Graphite Black, Pearl White, Bamboo Gray, Lustrous Silver, and Light Cloud Gray.

Inside the cabin, the Fulwin T8 features a dual-color interior material combination, integrated with wood grain panels and a 256-color adjustable ambient lighting system. The dashboard is equipped with a 15.6-inch 2.5K high-definition screen, which is supported by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and the Lion 5.0 AI smart cabin system. It supports multi-scenario modes, intelligent voice control, Huawei HiCar, and Apple CarPlay wireless connectivity.

Additionally, the Fulwin T8 is equipped with a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster, a smartphone Bluetooth key, a 50-watt wireless fast charging for smartphones, a 12-speaker Sony audio system (including headrest speakers), dual-zone automatic air conditioning with AQS and negative ion generation, cabin self-cleaning, a 360-degree panoramic camera, a transparent underbody view, and an intelligent driving assistance system.

The Fulwin T8 offers two seating layouts: a 2+3 five-seat configuration and a 2+3+2 seven-seat configuration. The second and third rows can be folded down to provide 12 flexible combination modes. In terms of seat functions, the front seats have three-level heating and ventilation for the backrest and cushion. The passenger seat also features a 10-point massage function, electric legrest, and a "zero-gravity" mode. Additionally, the cabin is equipped with a passenger-side boss key, a panoramic sunroof, and an electric tailgate.

In terms of powertrain, the Fulwin T8 offers two plug-in hybrid systems: a 1.5-liter plug-in hybrid system with a maximum engine power of 75 kW and a maximum torque of 125 N·m; the drive motor has a maximum power of 150 kW, and the system's combined maximum power is 225 kW. It is paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with an all-electric range of 65 kilometers (test conditions unknown).

The 1.5T plug-in hybrid system features an engine with a maximum power of 115 kW and a maximum torque of 220 N·m; the drive motor has a maximum power of 150 kW. The system's combined maximum power is 265 kW, with a combined maximum torque of 530 N·m. It is equipped with an 18.67 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering an all-electric range of 130 kilometers (test conditions unknown).
