Recently, we learned from Audi that the has officially been launched in the domestic market, with an official price of 1.9066 million yuan. The vehicle is globally limited to 660 units, with China allocated 66 of them.
The Audi RS 6 Avant GT draws inspiration from the legendary racing car Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO, featuring many unique details in its exterior and interior. The car's single-frame grille and side air intakes are both finished in high-gloss black, making the vehicle appear lower and wider. The vertical blades on the front apron, the newly designed grille mesh, and the front splitter integrated into the bumper give the vehicle a sharper appearance.
The Audi RS 6 Avant GT also features a carbon fiber engine hood with a unique coating. The integrated air vents behind the front wheel arches reduce air pressure inside the arches and improve brake cooling. Like the engine hood, the fenders at the front wheel positions are also made entirely of carbon fiber for the first time. It is reported that seven professionals will spend a whole day to complete the final assembly and fine-tuning. All GT-specific components are hand-assembled, including the engine hood, bumpers, sills, double front fenders, front and rear aprons, and the adjustable helical spring suspension.
The Audi RS 6 Avant GT also has high-gloss carbon fiber exterior mirror shells, 22-inch 6-spoke rims, black "RS 6 GT" lettering, dual oval exhaust pipes, and a specially designed tailgate. In addition, the large rear spoiler and underbody diffuser of the new car contribute to aerodynamic efficiency.
The Audi RS 6 Avant GT is available in five paint colors: Accona White, Nardo Gray, Star Grey Metallic, Terra Brown Metallic, and Legend Black Metallic. It also offers two exclusive decals in different colors. The first one, which can be paired with Accona White, features competitive-style black, gray, and red tones and is equipped with high-gloss white rims. The second one, in black and gray tones, can be matched with Nardo Gray or Legend Black paint.
The Audi RS 6 Avant GT comes standard with the RS Style Plus package. The interior is based on black, with exclusive custom red and copper decorations in many places, such as the steering wheel stitching, the sides of the center console, the center armrest, the door handles, and the floor mats with the "RS 6 GT" logo.
The same color scheme is also applied to the new RS bucket sport seats made of leather and Dinamica material, as well as the "RS 6 GT" logo on the headrests. The honeycomb stitching in the center of the seats is bright red, while the outer stitching of the bucket seats is copper.
In addition, the armrests, dashboard, center console and sides, and door waistlines are all made of black Dinamica ultra-fine fiber, with the trim in deep black Dinamica ultra-fine fiber. Carbon fiber twill style is also available as an option. As a special design, the center console is engraved with the serial number of the 660 limited-edition vehicles.
In terms of power, the Audi RS 6 Avant GT is equipped with a 4.0TFSI engine, with a maximum power of 463 kW (630 horsepower) and a maximum torque of 850 N·m. The parameters are consistent with the Audi RS 6 Avant Performance sold in China. The 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 3.3 seconds, and the top speed can reach 305 km/h. It also comes standard with the RS ceramic brake system. The transmission system is matched with an 8-speed Tiptronic gearbox and the quattro all-wheel drive system.
It is also reported that the Audi RS 6 Avant GT uses the same self-locking central differential as the Audi RS 6 Avant Performance, distributing power to the front and rear axles in a 40:60 ratio. In case of wheel slip, more drive torque will be automatically allocated to the axle with stronger traction. The front axle can receive up to 70% of the torque, while the rear axle can receive up to 85%. The improved central differential can improve driving dynamics, significantly enhance cornering precision, and reduce understeer in extreme conditions. Users can also choose to install the enhanced RS sport suspension with the Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) system.
