The 2025 BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase version has officially been launched, which is the same as the previous model's starting price. The main updates are in the configuration details.
One of the key features is the integration of Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technology, enabling functions such as Emergency Braking Warning (EBW).
The 2025 BMW 5 Series mainly makes adjustments to its configuration details. The 530Li Luxury Edition now comes standard with the V2X module. When surrounding vehicles and infrastructure are equipped with V2X modules, the BMW with V2X can provide three active safety warning features: Emergency Braking Warning (EBW), Red Light Violation Warning (RLVW), and Intersection Collision Warning (ICW), to reduce the risk of collisions and red-light violations.
In addition to that, the 2025 BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase model has the following four main changes:
In terms of basic configurations, the 2025 BMW 5 Series retains the layout of the current model, featuring an integrated floating curved screen (12.3-inch instrument cluster + 14.9-inch center display), with a significant reduction in physical buttons for air conditioning controls, now replaced with touch controls, while retaining physical buttons and knobs in the functional island area. The steering wheel has also been updated from the traditional round shape to a flat-bottom design, bringing it closer to the newly released BMW 7 Series.
High-end models of the 2025 BMW 5 Series continue to offer features such as LED Adaptive Headlights (with blue accents), a panoramic starry sky roof, front comfort seats (with lumbar support), front seat ventilation, four-zone climate control, Bowers & Wilkins audio system, head-up display, crystal-like interior components, Pro driving assistance system (with lane-change confirmation and hands-free driving below 60 km/h), golden trim accents paired with light wood, luxury package with gold exterior kit, and two-tone seats.
For powertrains, the 2025 BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase fuel models are available in the 525Li and 530Li versions, each equipped with a 2.0T engine in low and high power configurations, complemented by a 48-volt mild hybrid system. The 525Li's engine has a maximum power output of 140 kW and peak torque of 310 Nm; the 530Li's engine has a maximum power output of 190 kW and peak torque of 400 Nm. The 0-100 km/h acceleration times are 8.2 seconds and 6.5 seconds, respectively. The transmission system is an 8-speed automatic, and the 530Li is available with the xDrive all-wheel-drive system.
