The Deepal S09 will be powered by a 1.5T range-extending hybrid system. The range extender generates a maximum output of 110 kW. For the single-motor version, the drive motor delivers a peak power of 231 kW, while the dual-motor variant offers 131 kW for the front motor and 231 kW for the rear motor.

The filings also indicate that the S09 is equipped with a 40.18 kWh battery pack, providing a pure electric range of 170 km and 180 km under undisclosed test conditions.

Market Positioning

Currently, Deepal’s SUV lineup includes the Deepal S05, S07, and G318, classified as compact, mid-size, and mid-to-large SUVs, respectively, all featuring 5-seat (2+3) layouts. The Deepal S09, with its 6-seat (2+2+2) configuration, stands out in the lineup.
